Phuket Airport - Coral Lounge A Entrance

Priority Pass | Phuket’s Coral Lounge A & B – HKT Airport

October 7, 2019 By //  by Matt Thomas

On a domestic flight from Phuket to Koh Samui, I had an opportunity to visit both of Phuket’s Coral Lounges, A and B. Located inside the pleasant Phuket International Airport, they both lie fairly quickly thru gate security, and close to one another.

Both are about equal in amenities, except the first one A that’s upstairs is less crowded. We stopped by just for a quick look and some pictures before heading to the other one, which offered best access to my gate. I stopped by with free access thru Priority Pass Select, which allows up to 2 guests complimentary, in addition to yourself.

The first one lies up an escalator almost directly from security. It leads you up to Coral Lounge A, which the quieter of the two. It was in fact empty on our trip thru.

  • Hours: 06:00 – 00:00 daily
  • Location: Airside – Domestic Departures. The lounge is located on the 3rd Floor, near Gate 8.

The food spread was similar to Coral Lounge B, which I tried and was fine. There are ample selections of quick bites and enough to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. Beers and sodas are provided.

If you strictly would like to go for a longer visit to work peacefully or take a nap, this is the better choice of the two. There is a large table area, WiFi,  and padded seats. Didn’t notice too much else in terms of no bathroom or community computers to use.

The second lounge, Coral Lounge B sits right in the terminal floor. It’s one of the easiest to access, especially consider the airport is not too large.

  • Hours: 06:00 – 22:00 daily
  • Location: Airside – Domestic Departures. The lounge is located next to Gate 6.

There was a good side buffet spread of items to choose from. The range of food from Thai and a some western dishes. Okay small hor devours and some hot entrees. I had a German beer.

The seating is a lot of cozy padded sofa chairs of four with two small tables, shown above. It makes for a comfortable stay. The WiFi is so so. Their was also a masseuse working on donations, most gave 100 baht for 15 minutes.
